2010 continues to be a fantastic year!
Kim was recently selected as the recipient of the 2010 Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Award – South Australia's top award for an arts graduate. The award was presented at the annual Helpmann Academy Maestros and Apprentices event on May 21.
Richard Fennell, Chief Financial Officer of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank says that, “The judging for this year's award was, as always, extremely difficult; the standard of finalists was exceptional. Kim's distinctive talent as an artist is already being recognised by astute art lovers and collectors, and we are very proud to support and encourage her future success.”

After winning the $5000 Limestone Coast Art Prize in February this year with her drawing Faithless (the weight of it all) , Kim was voted the winner of the People's Choice Award at the recent Helpmann Academy Graduate Exhibition.
Sponsored by Peter Walker Fine Art, the $500 award was selected by a popular vote of exhibition visitors. According to the Helpmann Academy, "Kim's series of charcoal on paper drawings were a clear favourite among this year's exhibition goers, who described her detailed work as “brilliant”, “outstanding”, “extraordinary”, “eye-catching and clever”, “exquisite in every way”."
Lastly, Kim has just completed her first artist in residency at Wilderness School in Adelaide. As a Wilderness old scholar, it was wonderful to return to the school in such a different capacity, and Kim is very grateful for the opportunity. The student's enthusiasm for their drawing projects was infectious and Kim hopes more students might be encouraged to consider a career in art.
Kim is currently working towards her next solo exhibition at Michael Reid Gallery in Sydney in December, and is proud to announce that she will be exhibiting with Jan Murphy Gallery in Brisbane in 2011.
Her most recent exhibition, Conatus, at Peter Walker Fine Art, sold out prior to opening. The 12 drawings in the show were bought by a range of high profile local and interstate institutions and private collectors, including Artbank. The exhibition received rave reviews and coverage in a number of publications.
